The mission of the Bank of Lithuania is to create benefits for society. To accomplish this, top-level staff with the necessary financial and technological resources was brought together. As part of the Eurosystem, Bank of Lithuania takes decisions on monetary policy in the euro area and participate in its implementation together with the European Central Bank and the central banks of other euro area countries. The operation of the institution, not only helps to create benefits for the society, but also contributes to increasing the trust of the Lithuanian people in the central bank and the entire financial system of the country.
