The efficiency and cost ratio of providing public services is an important factor in assessing the quality of public services. SAP provides a wide range of tools to help manage and measure health service and social service processes. These are SAP solutions for financial management of health and social services, management of healthcare services and documentation processes, as well as specialized analysis tools and patient data / patient relationship management. In Lithuania, we have introduced and implemented several SAP Healthcare solutions, the most recent of which is the Detailed Patient Cost Accounting Information System, which allows to determine the cost of treatment for each patient based on the calculatoin of price coefficients of diagnosis related groups according to the Australian AR-DRG (Diagnosis-related Group) disease classification system. The unique solution is based on SAP Profitability and Cost Management (PCM) and SAP Business Objects (BO) products.
