The Compulsory Health Insurance Register (hereinafter CHIR) manages, processes and stores data on personal health insurance. Health check in this register is carried out in real time by all medical institutions in the country, as well as pharmacies and companies providing medical devices – i.e., by any organization and company providing services or goods paid from the compulsory health insurance fund. The Registry has to work continuously to ensure that medical institutions, pharmacies can check the patient’s health insurance and start providing services paid from the Compulsory Health Insurance Fund (CHIF). CHIR is a complex integration system that collects and aggregates data about the right of individuals to public health insurance from more than 10 different external systems and provides this information to medical institutions, pharmacies, and others. CHIR is linked to the register of students, the information systems of the State Social Insurance Fund Board (SODRA), the Register of Legal Entities, the Population Register, registers of soldiers and officials, etc. The main task of the project is to ensure the continuous operation of CHIR, as the provision of health care services depends on the functioning of CHIR. CHIR improvements and modifications are also underway.
